At Allegravita, we are passionate about digital marketing and PR, especially when it involves working with organizations that are committed to making a positive impact in the world (we do, in fact, have two decades of proud marketing and communications support for non-profits.) When we were approached by CouldYou?, we were excited to collaborate with a nonprofit that shared our values and was dedicated to helping those in need. Over the course of several months, we worked with CouldYou? to completely overhaul their web presence and create a new website that would better represent their mission and attract new supporters. As we had been supporting CouldYou?’s public relations, fundraising activation, political lobbying, and experiential marketing for half a year prior to the website overhaul, we were able to undertake the complex project with the deep understanding of our client’s marketplace and voice which is a hallmark of Allegravita’s methodology.
For those who are not yet familiar with CouldYou?, the organization is a non-profit dedicated to ending period poverty and eradicating malaria. The organization’s mission is to provide access to the CouldYou? Cup, a sustainable and affordable menstrual cup, to marginalized women around the world, and to distribute MAX Repellent to combat mosquito-borne illnesses. CouldYou? also prioritizes education initiatives to promote awareness of menstrual health and malaria prevention. Founded by Christine Garde-Denning, the organization has a number of notable ambassadors, including Ghanian TV personality, actress, and activist/philanthropist Joselyn Dumas, popular South African rapper, podcaster and social media influencer Gigi Lamayne, multi-award winning South African singer, songwriter, actor, music producer and film scorer Brian Temba, and celebrated model and TV personality in Brazil and Latin America Sunessis de Brito, all of whom are dedicated to spreading awareness and advocating for change in their respective communities.
The project was complex and challenging, but we were up to the task. After our analysis of CouldYou?’s ability to reach all key segments with consistent and persuasive messaging, we had to analyze, compare and consolidate four separate websites into a single new site. This required an exceptional deal of planning, research and copywriting, but it was important to ensure that the new site was easy to navigate and provided visitors with all the information they needed in one place — the drift of consistency across the four original websites was untenable in 2023.
In addition to consolidating the websites, we worked closely with CouldYou? to refine their messaging, branding, and calls to action. We wanted the new site to be both informative and engaging, as well as contemporary and bright, so we put our best work into crafting the new copy and designing a fun but serious layout to ensure that visitors would be drawn in and compelled to take action.
Another major challenge was optimizing the site for search engines. With so much information available online, it can be difficult to ensure that your website is easily discoverable by those who are searching for information related to your cause. We implemented a comprehensive SEO strategy to help CouldYou? rank higher in search results and attract more traffic to their site. Social media integration, ambassador and partner coordination, and other key elements of successful digital marketing were all ideated and implemented by Catherine Davis’ team at Allegravita.
Many of Allegravita’s digital marketing hallmarks are present in the website — the use of subtle animation, bright and bold blocks of web-optimized information, a clear thematic flow in which the site tells a story to visitors, our advanced floating menus and donations techniques, and our persuasive copywriting style which is, according to the Allegravita methodology, adapted into a singular brand voice for each client.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the opportunity to work with a team of people who are truly committed to making a difference in the world. CouldYou? is doing important work to address issues like period poverty and malaria, and we are honored to have played a role in helping them spread their message and reach more people.
Now that the new site is up and running, we are excited to see the impact it will have on CouldYou?’s outreach efforts. With a streamlined, user-friendly website that clearly communicates their mission and values, we believe that CouldYou? will be able to attract more supporters and make an even greater impact in the communities they serve.
At Allegravita, we are proud to have worked on such a worthwhile project, and we believe that it serves as an example of what can be achieved when organizations come together to make a difference. We are honored to have played a role in helping CouldYou? achieve their goals and look forward to collaborating with other organizations that share our commitment to creating a better world.
